Body drawings alternate female and male fruit-fly traits. Every fly runs the same circuit and behavior model; courtship and reproduction are not simulated.
At 1×, the fly and quarter are our best estimate of real-world size on this device. The estimate uses screen dimensions, pixel ratio and device class locally; those display details stay in the browser. Browsers do not reveal the screen's exact physical size, and browser zoom or display settings can make the result larger or smaller. For a closer match, compare the on-screen quarter with a real one and adjust the zoom.
SQUASH sends a large simulated nociceptive input through the circuit, then stops that fly's simulation instance. It does not show that the simulation is conscious or feels pain.
